As posted here and in my Tumblr, it looks like Doona is teaming up with the Wachowskis again, and this time for the small screen. My guess is Doona is cast for the Wachowskis' Netflix drama series "Sense8" There has been no official announcement, but Korean press reports that they are planning to film some of it in Seoul, Korea on location in September!!! Yay for us Nadoo Nadoos in US, who will be able to watch Doona on TV or via internet video streaming!
The below is the report on "Sense8"
"Last October we learned that the Wachowski siblings were looking to make their first venture onto the small screen with "Sense8," an hour-long series they developed with showrunner J. Michael Straczynski with the intention of shopping it around to different networks. Further details remained secretive until Netflix announced today that the show's first season would premiere exclusively on their site in 2014.
Described only as "a gripping tale of minds linked and souls hunted" and born from a conversation about the benefits and perils of technology, the series still remains a mystery. Yet with the creative minds behind "The Matrix" trilogy, "V For Vendetta" and "Cloud Atlas" teaming up with Straczynski, creator of the Hugo Award-winning "Babylon 5" TV series, "Sense8" is sure to be a heady sci-fi pleaser. The series is being produced by Georgeville Television, in association with Studio JMS, and is set to have a 10-episode first season to premiere exclusively on Netflix late next year.
In the release Andy and Lana Wachowski said "We're excited to work with Netflix and Georgeville Television on this project, and we've wanted to work with Joe Straczynski for years, chiefly due to the fact his name is harder to pronounce than ours, but also because we share a love of genre and all things nerdy."
"Several years ago, we had a late night conversation about the ways technology simultaneously unites and divides us, and out of that paradox 'Sense8' was born."
On the partnership Straczynski commented, "Lana, Andy and I are fans of each other's creations, and have been looking for something to do together for nearly a decade."
Although the Wachowskis are starting production on their next film "Jupiter Ascending" next month, it looks like we'll have to endure at least a year long wait until we get anything new from them. So why not spend it re-watching their films or checking out "Babylon 5" to start the guessing game of what "Sense8" will be about -- or maybe just giving "Cloud Atlas" a second chance if you haven't already."
